Are you having the issue of your Firestick remote not pairing? This article is to help you step by step on how to help with this exact issue.
Sometimes remotes lose the bluetooth connection so your firestick will remain unresponsive until you reestablish a connection.
First, let's get into your remote not pairing at all.
There are a few ways for this problem to be resolved.
This first list of steps are the easiest.
1. Unplug your device from the outlet for up to 1 minute and plug back in 2. Remove batteries from the back of the remote and put them back in 3. Insert new batteries into the remote and try again
4. I find holding the home button down for 30 seconds helps, then wait up to 1 minute to see if the remote is paired. If it does not pair, your remote may be defective
If you are still not pairing, follow these steps on how to download the fire tv remote app on any mobile device and manually pair your remote.
Connect your mobile device to the same WI-Fi as your FirestickAccess the app store, Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Search and download Fire TV remote.
Once downloaded, open the app and click on an available firestick. If it its the correct one, you should see a code screen pop up to pair. Use the mobile app to navigate to your Firestick settings. Then go to Controllers/Bluetooth devices. From there, click on Firestick TV remotes & add new.
Follow the short steps giving on the screen and you should have a paired remote!
