With a recent Amazon software update the Fire-starter application or shortcut to open KODI on your Amazon Fire TV will no longer work. However you will get a shortcut to the home screen when you go into your recent section of the Amazon main screen. If you are using someone else s account you may have to un-register that account and put in your own amazon account to use the shortcut. You can still open KODI by going to the Application TAB and clicking on "manage Installed App
